Today I held witness to such strong contrasts in this world today.


But the men would not listen to him. So the man seized his concubine and made her go out to them. And they knew her and abused her all night until the morning. And as the dawn began to break, they let her go. And as morning appeared, the woman came and fell down at the door of the man's house where her master was, until it was light.
(Judges 19:25-26 ESV)

What a terrible story. Can man get lower? The Earth is full of despicable people.

However there are also people on the contrary that show and live in genuine love.


and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.

LORD I live in the world of the Judges, and hold the body of Christ as my witness of your power in love in this world.

Yes despicable men exist. But by your grace I am able to see that you create the despicable man in me into the genuine servant of you.
